TEACHER OF GEOGRAPHY & TEACHER OF ART

We are seeking outstanding teachers who have a commitment to achieving the highest outcomes for all pupils. These departments are experiencing growth and require support to help further develop and to allow us to continue to offer the high level of teaching that has been achieved thus far.

We are seeking individuals for the following positions:

* Teacher of Geography

* Teacher of Art

COVER SUPERVISOR

Start date:           September 2018

Salary:                 Grade 4 - £22,401 per annum (pro rata)

Location:             Sybil Andrews Academy, Bury St Edmunds

Contract type:     37 hours per week / 39 weeks per year 

Contract term:    Permanent

Sybil Andrews Academy opened in September 2016 and we are rapidly expanding as the school grows.  As part of the Samuel Ward Academy Trust we can offer vast opportunities to collaborate with colleagues and to enable professional development and career progression. 

We are looking to appoint a flexible, approachable and determined Cover Supervisor to assist our pupils to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Duties will include:

·         Delivering lessons in the absence of teachers

·         Supporting the curriculum and smooth running of the school day to day

·         Enthusing and engaging young people about learning

GCSE 'C' in Maths and English or equivalent essential.

RECEPTIONIST

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and friendly Receptionist to fulfil a key role in our school.

Duties will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors

  • Act as the school’s central communication point for students, parents, staff and other visitors

  • Control students signing in and out during school hours

  • Providing administrative back-up and support to the schools Administrative team.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and friendly person to fulfil a key role in our school.

Duties will include:

·         Supervising students in the isolation room

·         Participating in and utilising training regarding counselling, anger management, dealing with bereavement, dealing with emotional problems, bullying and other issues which can affect a pupils ability to cope with school life

·         Assisting with managing behavioural difficulties

·         Act as a link to the relevant outside agencies who offer guidance and support to students
