Sports round up – December 2019

This week spells the end to a busy and successful term in Team PE.

In particular, our netball teams have had a hectic schedule with over 50 fixtures played since September; the teams now excitedly await confirmation of their league standings. It is also important to mention our Year 7 netball team(s) fundraising success. The girls raised over £450 for Great Ormond Street following a sponsored shoot out on Friday 13th December. A huge thank you to all of you that supported the girls with their fundraising efforts.

This week also saw our girl’s football team(s) play their first competitive fixtures. The girls braved the wind and rain to claim a number of victories over King Edward School.

We are also delighted to share that 10 students from SAA successfully progressed to the third round of the Suffolk Schools Cross Country. This is our most successful year to date and we wish students the very best of luck for the next round on the 9th January.

As we move into the New Year, students will have the opportunity to compete in indoor athletics, futsal and basketball.

Additionally, our annual swimming gala against Culford School takes place on the 30th January. Please do look out for the sign-up sheet when we return to school. Also don’t forget to check out our new club timetable!
