Year 11 Support Hub
This page is designed to support our Year 11 students throughout their final year at Sybil Andrews Academy. As they progress through this important stage of their education, we will provide key information and guidance to help both students and parents feel informed, prepared, and supported.
Throughout the year, you will find updates on important dates, revision resources, intervention opportunities, exam timetables, suggested revision resources, wellbeing support, and post-16 pathways. We encourage you to check this page regularly to ensure you do not miss any important information and to help your child make the most of the opportunities available to them.

Year 11 Wellbeing and Exam Preparation
As we move through Year 11, it is important to remember that success is not just about revision and academic achievement. Looking after wellbeing is equally important. Students who maintain a healthy balance between schoolwork, rest, exercise, hobbies, and time with family and friends are often better able to manage stress and perform at their best.
GCSEs can feel challenging at times, and it is normal for students to experience periods of pressure or anxiety. We encourage all students to talk to a trusted adult if they are feeling overwhelmed and to make use of the support available to them.
Below are links to two helpful documents, one aimed at students and one aimed at parents. These contain a range of websites and resources offering advice on revision, wellbeing, and managing GCSE-related stress. You will also find Kooth’s guide to coping with exam stress, which provides practical strategies and support for young people.
By working together and prioritising both wellbeing and academic progress, we can help students approach Year 11 with confidence, resilience, and a positive mindset.

Exam season can be incredibly stressful for students of all ages.
